Home to the winter residences of two of America's most prominent historical figures, the Thomas Edison & Henry Ford Winter Estates are a beautiful reflection of late 19th and early 20th century gentrified life. Demonstrating the creative nature of the great inventor, Edison's home is jammed with various patents he created and visitors can tour the lab in which he worked. In addition, guests can see inventions and designs in the complex's museum, tour the antique furniture and furnishings of the historic homes and stroll through the lovely gardens on a fantastic guided tour. The estates sit right on the waterfront, just over a mile distant from the Fort Myers Historical Museum.
